It is to whine....

After my great dryer debacle, I foolishly thought that electronics were my friends - silly me. In the course of the last few days the cd player of my stereo decided to eat a cd (that was from the library, of course), and have the tray get stuck halfway in so that I'm going to have to pry it apart to try to get it out, and my computer has up and died *sob!!*. Yes, my old faithful, the one I counted on the most, is no more, it has ceased to be; though I will try to fix it, there is little hope :,( And did I do a back up like I've been planning for weeks????NnnoooOOOooooooo of course not *hangs head in shame*.  Am using my Dad's computer for now... or until he misses it *g*.
I found this online and thought it was hilarious and so appropriate:

Ode to My Dead Computer

My computer screen went blue,
I fear, I do not know what to do.

I tried and tried,
I almost cried.

It will not dance, It will not sing,
In essence, it will not do a thing.

The thing I fear the most..
is I really think it's toast.

The worst has finally happened, my computer's dead.
and now you know, because I did what you said.

Put it on the Log so ComputerMan will know,
I hope to have a new one before I see snow

Thank-you, you are too kind *sniff*. He was a good computer but it looks like it's bytes have bit the dust. Will be taking it in to a repair place tomorrow for last rite.... er, service... ;p

On the plus side! I have discovered that turning a cd player upside down and shaking like hell is a valid repair technique!! It worked! and the cd is free... hmmmm, I wonder if that will work with my computer...

Well, I'll definitely use your CD fixing expertise in the future when I have stuck CD issues :)

*blows a sad finale song on a trumpet for your computer*
